Bethlehem Berhanu’s story as a leading exporter of authentic Coffea arabica began in early 2008 when Berhanu Zeleke, our father, was inspired by the need to spread the Ethiopian culture of love, care, and friendliness through coffee. Zeleke believed that the world would thrive in forming strong connections via simple interactions such as sharing a cup of coffee. Given Ethiopia’s distinctive coffee varieties attributed to its favorable altitude, soil composition, and weather patterns, our father set out to cultivate a farm in the ideal Sidamo, Gudji region in Shakiso. The region is famous for high-quality and distinctive coffee beans that are denser, harder, and superior in taste.

Zeleke’s children have since taken over and added technical expertise and revolutionary corporate insights in managing the business. Over the years, Bethlehem Berhanu has expanded its clientele base throughout the Middle East and Europe. At the same time, it has remained committed to improving the lives of the community it serves in. With an increasing demand for raw coffee globally, we have partnered with farmers from other regions besides Sidamo such as Harrar, Jimma, and Limu, and Kaffa who supply us with coffee beans that match our high-quality standards. By so doing, we have helped them get on their feet and take care of their needs.

It is our wish to expand even further to the North American market. We believe that we can participate in fostering strong human connections in coffee shops, homes, and workplace settings via our unique coffee beans.
